The California Career Pathways Trust (CCPT), created in 2014, funded regional consortia across California to collaborate to align education systems and improve onramps and transitions to college and careers and increase student success.
In the first round of the CCPT, the state provided $250 million in one-time competitive grants to school districts, county superintendents of schools, direct-funded charter schools, regional occupational centers, programs operated by a joint powers authority, and community college districts.
CLP provided technical assistance to several CCPT sites with a focus on high school-to-college transitioning, dual enrollment strategies, improved placement, and career pathway development.
