Beyond Transactional: Building Relationships with Counselors and Advisors for Equitable Dual Enrollment

CLP is co-presenting with EdTrust–West at the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) National Conference. Session description: Counselors and advisors play a critical role in students’ academic journey. This is especially true with dual enrollment. Given the extremely high student to counselor ratios, we know counselors can’t do the work of supporting students alone and they need to be supported as well with being provided the most up-to-date information and tools to navigate dual enrollment. This session will share the evolving policy landscape of dual enrollment in California and guides that counselors and advisors can use to implement and communicate the updates to dual enrollment to students and families in an effort to move beyond transactional to more relational experiences.
