COLEGAS | Capacity Building for Dual Enrollment: A Strategic Approach

Discover how Gavilan College has developed a student-centered dual enrollment program that’s opening doors for high school students—especially first-generation college-goers. Within two years, we’ve developed a strategic model, with support from HSI funding, that includes a dedicated outreach team and a full-time counselor to guide students through the college process. Attendees will learn how we support students from application to education planning, including connecting with support services, and building confidence as a college student. We will share highlights from our partnerships that will be beneficial for practitioners just beginning and those looking to expand equitable dual enrollment.
