The $700M in funding for Golden State Pathways and Dual Enrollment is an exciting, important investment in California students and our future. But ensuring these dollars result in increased college completion, meaningful employment, and equitable outcomes will require new coherence across our systems to sustain upward student trajectories from K–12 to and through college and career.
To get us there, Career Ladders Project, Linked Learning Alliance and The Education Trust—West are teaming up to convene a coalition of K-12, postsecondary and workforce leaders. Together, we’ll break through old silos, align efforts around a shared vision, and help ensure resources go where they are needed most to create seamless student experiences that set the course for social, racial and economic justice, for generations to come.
It all begins at a special three-hour hands-on workshop held in conjunction with the 2023 Linked Learning Conference (the full conference may also be of interest to you, but is not required for this session):
Catalyzing Coherence Lab
Paradise Point Resort and Spa, San Diego, CA
9am to 12pm, February 17, 2023
Participants in this session will:
-
- Gain a deep understanding of the state and federal funding streams that can be leveraged to launch equitable, relevant and rigorous pathways in your community
- Align funding streams with your community’s vision for equitable college and career success, laying the groundwork for braiding funding and co-leveraging programmatic resources
- Learn about new tools and resources that can be used to further the conversation about creating coherence for a more equitable high school and postsecondary experience
We hope you’re able to join this session and this concerted intersegmental, cross-sector effort on behalf of California students—at a pivotal moment in their lives and the story of our state.
