I stopped working in the fields with my parents and I’m now the first generation in my family to go to college. Dual enrollment ended up saving me a lot of time and my parents a lot of money,” says Alexis Meneses, a dual enrollment student at Design Science Middle College High School and Fresno City College. The message from Alexis is part of an outreach campaign to students about the new Virtual Dual Enrollment Hub.

Launched in April by the Fresno-Madera K-16 Educational Collaborative (FK16C), the virtual hub helps students in Fresno and Madera counties access dual enrollment opportunities with courses that meet high school A-G and college general education requirements. The hub gives students a streamlined application and enrollment process and offers student supports. CLP worked with FK16C to develop the hub including the outreach campaign and materials.

Intended for social media outreach, Alexis’s message is one of ten audiograms from dual enrollment students in the Fresno-Madera area. In addition to creating the audiograms, CLP also filmed two short videos and developed tools including info sheets, templates, and processes.
