Cristina Sandoval

senior program associate

Cristina brings to CLP a unique combination of skills and experience from the education and non-profit sectors.

Before joining CLP, Cristina worked as National Programs Manager at the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) where she managed national workforce development, financial literacy, technology, women’s empowerment and education programs. In addition to her work supporting nationwide programming, she oversaw day-to-day operations at the Sacramento LULAC regional office.  Cristina also served as lead coordinator for the Latino Tech Summit, an event designed to help foster the next generation of tech titans through diversity and inclusion.

Cristina’s passion for education began during her undergraduate career when she worked first as a tutor for high school students, then as tutor and mentor for middle school students, and finally as site director for an elementary afterschool program in the city of Davis. A first-generation college student, she saw firsthand how important it is for students to receive guidance and support in achieving their educational goals. Cristina holds a B.S. in Sociology with an emphasis in Law and Society from UC Davis.
