California Dual Enrollment Equity Conference

Pre-conference Workshops, February 23
- The Adolescent Brain and Teaching Dual Enrollment: A Neuroscience-Informed Approach, Dr. Adriana Galvan, UCLA

High School Site Visits, February 26
- Pioneer High is a comprehensive high school that offers general education and CTE courses from Woodland Community College on site, during the high school day. Dual enrollment classes are taught by either high school instructors or college faculty, and students receive both high school and college credit for the courses.
- Antelope High School is a comprehensive high school located outside of Sacramento. Close to 60% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch and almost 10% are English learners. The high school offers dual enrollment through Sierra College in U.S. History, Government, Spanish, Ethnic Studies, English, Business, and Drawing, and plans to add at least three more options next year.
