Providing Tools for the Field: Policy to Practice Guide by Career Ladders Project

CLP will be presenting at the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) Conference. Session description: The CLP Dual Enrollment Policy to Practice Guide supports the sharing and implementation of promising practices for smoothing the transition to college for historically underrepresented students. Each tool in the guide was created to help secondary school and community college partners utilize existing and new policies to implement high-quality and equitable dual enrollment programs that include intentional support for students and increased access to college through carefully structured pathways. In this session, CLP will share what has gone into creating, funding and updating the guide over the past eight years. Session attendees will get a behind the scenes look at new additions to the guide; including a data tool for identifying equity gaps, resources for equitable dual enrollment counseling, a guide for designing and implementing dual enrollment career pathways, and a protocol for student focus groups. Resources from the Dual Enrollment Policy to Practice Guide can be utilized by and/or set serve as an example for practitioners, administrators, and organizations across the nation.
