Bridging Systems, Centering Students: Culturally Responsive Dual Enrollment Student Support
California Dual Enrollment Equity Conference: Culturally responsive counseling ensures students feel seen, supported, and celebrated on their journey. In this interactive session, the Career Ladders Project (CLP) will guide participants in exploring how counseling can humanize the dual enrollment experience by centering belonging, identity, and care. Through practice-building activities, reflection, and small-group dialogue, participants will examine how counselors can nurture student confidence, connection, and agency across K–12 and community college systems. Attendees will leave with tangible practices to strengthen relationships, elevate student voice, and create stronger dual enrollment pathways for students.
