Centering the Community: Working with Community Based Organizations to Offer Dual Enrollment
April 11 @ 10:45 am - 11:30 am
Working with community-based organizations is an equitable approach to increasing access and success in dual enrollment. East Los Angeles College (ELAC) has demonstrated an intentional commitment to community-based organizations like the Salvadoran American Leadership Educational Fund (SALEF) and Central American Resource Center (CARECEN) to improve families awareness of postsecondary opportunities and offering classes at these sites. This session will provide participants with perspectives on how to approach working with community-based organizations to expand dual enrollment access, support, and success.
Presenters:
- Dr. Miguel DueƱas, Vice President of Student Services, ELAC
- Laurencia Walker, Director, CLP
