CLP will be presenting a workshop at the California Community College Association for Occupational Education (CCCAOE) Spring Conference. The workshop will explore the intersection of equity, social justice, and labor market research to build inclusive career exploration and preparation. The CLP team will examine equitable principles and practices impacting student success through interactive discussions and brainstorming activities. Participants will explore integrating equity and social justice concepts into Strong Workforce and Guided Pathways frameworks.

Following this, the San Diego & Imperial Center of Excellence will showcase their labor market research integration in community college counseling via the Strong Workforce Counselor Institute. Counselors collaborate with researchers to analyze equity gaps and integrate labor market insights. The Career Education Guide provides practical data on wages, job openings, and education requirements. Attendees will learn how to establish similar programs and replicate effective labor market guides.
