Improving Access, Acceleration, and Alignment for Black Learner Success

CLP will be presenting at the Umoja Conference. Session description: Black learners are consistently underserved in, or denied access to, college acceleration opportunities like dual enrollment (Ed Trust West, 2022; PPIC, 2023). This session will explain the equity imperative of ensuring that Black students have equitable access/ success to dual enrollment while in high school. Participants will learn about research, policies, and practices that enable intersegmental alignment of dual enrollment opportunities so that Black students aren’t further minoritized in college access/success opportunities.
