Shaping the Future of Dual Enrollment with Black Learners at the Center
CLP is co-presenting with Granada Hills Charter School at the California Association of Black School Educators (CABSE) Conference in Carlsbad, CA. Session date and time: TBD
Session description: As dual enrollment continues to scale nationally, research consistently demonstrates uneven participation and outcome patterns across student subgroups, particularly for Black learners. While dual enrollment is associated with increased college enrollment, credit accumulation, and persistence, access alone does not guarantee equitable outcomes.
This session situates dual enrollment within a critical equity framework, interrogating how historical exclusion, structural inequities, and institutional design shape present-day participation.
